Let’s talk about fear. For me, fear is what compels me to act. If there was no fear in my life, I would probably still be asleep. Fear makes us move, makes us change things that don’t serve us anymore. When we are kids and still learning things, we are not so aware of our surroundings. We have only unconditional love. Then we pick up emotions. Researchers say that kids learn emotions only before the age of 3. They learn emotions and one of the strongest is love. Right after love is fear. Or is it? What if they go together hand-in-hand?
I read in Course of Miracles that: “The opposite of love is fear, but what is all-encompassing can have no opposite.” Being in a state of love, making decision from there, we are co-creators of our life and we do that together with the Creator Of All That Is.
“If you knew the secret of life, you too would choose no other companion but love.”
— Rumi
People say that if there were no darkness, then we couldn’t see how bright the stars are. And for us who are in love with the stars, this would have been a complete disaster. So try to imagine not being able to feel love. Or not being grateful for feeling love because there is nothing to contrast that feeling against. We are humans from the planet Earth that has polarity. So in order to see light, you need darkness. In order to feel love, I think there has to be fear. The key is to make fear work for you. To protect you so you don’t go and try to hug a lion. There is no love that will save you from a hungry lion so you need fear to teach you not to go there and do stupid things.
The key is to take control over your life and put that fear under your control. There are different tools that can help you achieve this and my favorite is ThetaHealing. Sometimes, or should I say always, that fear is not even ours. We carry things in our DNA from our ancestors and sometimes their life wasn’t so easy. But we have tools to release the weight and set our ancestors and, most important, set ourselves free and live a life we deserve.
